Activities include the Cumbres & Toltec narrow gauge railroad trip that is one of the most scenic train rides in the U.S. We will ride from Antonito, CO to Chama, NM with a stop in Osier, CO for a buffet lunch which is included in the ticket price (approx. $100). The date for the train ride is Weds,.May 29 and reservations can be made after Jan., 2019, by calling the Cumbres & Toltec R.R. at 1-888-286-2737.
Other activities include floats on nearby rivers, sightseeing, trout fishing, and visiting Great Sand Dunes National Park.
Directions: I-40 to Clines Corner, NM (mile marker 218), north on 285 to Antonito, left on Hwy. 17 to the campground.
Caution: Mind your fuel level as there may long distances where fuel may not be available.
