The Shawnee National Forest is about 4 hours from Memphis. It's packed with scenic areas to explore and we hope we will hit some great fall colors on this weekend.

We will base camp at Shawnee Forest Campground. This is a full hookup RV park and campground. The RV cost is $40/night. They have brand new bathrooms and shower facilities as well. We will plan to hike Garden of the Gods, Rim Rock Canyon and maybe a couple of others depending on weather. We might even hit a winery or two!

We also plan to do an easy 10 mile ride on the Tunnel Hill State Bike Trail. This is an awesome "rails-to-trails" bike trail. We will do a section that has mostly a very slight downhill grade. This section takes you through some beautiful areas of Southern Illinois.
