Come one, come all. Join us for some paddling fun on the Jack’s Fork of the Current River in part of the
Ozark National Scenic Riverways system
.
Come on out and enjoy the fall colors, the local wildlife, and the good camaraderie.
This trip is enjoyed by newcomers, old timers, and 3-4 generations on this fun-filled fall getaway.

Float Plan
6-7 miles
from Alley Spring Campground to just past the bridge in Eminence, MO. Time on the water will be about 3-5 hours

Take-out -
Josua T. Chilton Memorial Landing
Backup plans - If the River Access in the campground is not usable we will move to the River Access in the picnic area across Hwy 106. Also, the Craft Show has been moved to the ball park on the same site as the Take-out. We may need to take-out at a different nearby location.
Several BCCC members have reserved campsites in loop 600 (electric) of Alley Springs Campground for several days prior to this paddle. O
ther, impromptu paddling in the area may result.
This float is within the Ozark National Scenic Riverways System and is governed by their
Laws and Policies

Camping & Lodging
We will be camping at the
Alley Spring Campground
operated by the National Park Service.
Loop 600 has electrical and water hookups. The loop is high demand, short supply and will probably be completely booked by the time you read this.
There are still plenty of campsites without hookups.
For those who require an electrical hookup, There are other RV campgrounds nearby.
Eminence Cottages and Camp
- Full RV hookups, tent camping, cabins and hotel suites
Jack's Fork Canoe Rental and Campground
- Full RV hookups, electricity, water and sewer. No cabins.
Additional accomodations such as cabins and hotel rooms are also available nearby

Socializing after the Paddle
There will be a campfire amongst BCCC friends Saturday evening, October 9th, at Alley Spring Campground Loop 600 at Ed Landers campsite. There will not be a potluck given COVID concerns.

Nearby Attractions
The Scenic Riverways Arts and Crafts show has moved from the Circle B Campground to the ball field at the take-out. It is only one day this year, Saturday, October 9th
Don't miss touring the 100-year old grist mill at Alley Spring
.
A Haunting in the Hills at the Mill at Alley Spring is cancelled this year.
Explore the area, take in the fall colors, the local wildlife and the good camaraderie on this long-standing BCCC getaway.
Devils Well and the Cave Spring Trail is a good choice
for a hike.

This meetup is for Bluff City Canoe Club members and their guests. If you are not a member, we would love to have you join. Membership is just $30 for the year and includes your entire family.
