There is a $10 fee if you bring your own boat. The park will provide tandem canoes at $10 per seat. Two seats will reserve one canoe.
The Register Now button will link you to Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park for registration on their website.
These tours are popular. Register early.
Before the Paddle - 7:30 am
Meet at the Visitor Center of Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park at 7:30 am The rangers will lead a caravan to the launch site.
Masks are REQUIRED to have on hand. Acceptable masks are most any material such as a bandana that covers the mouth and nose. If 6 foot social distance cannot be kept, masks must be worn.
Other Details
The fee paid is an opportunity to support park programs including presentations at our club meetings and the care and feeding of program wildlife. It's also a opportunity to paddle if you do not own a boat or prefer not to load and unload and carry your own boat.
Since this is a State Park sponsored activity, the usual BCCC and ACA registration, waivers and fees are not necesary. However, I would appreciate a text or email to let me know you will be attending.
Here's a video of the swamp that I found on YouTube:
