Ready for an adventure, well pack your bags and load your boats and meet me at Buffalo point campground. I will be in loop B site 30.
What does the Buffalo River have to offer you ask? How about picturesque bluffs, eagles escorting us down river along with blue herons and kingfishers, if you are quiet you might spot a river otter or mink. Camping Loop B is in high demand because it provides water and electricity. Make your reservation as early as possible. Campground Reservations The float plan Saturday we will put in at Maumee and float to Buffalo point and on Sunday we will float from Buffalo point to Rush. Plan on starting the shuttle around 9:00 am. Outfitters If anyone needs a boat or is uncomfortable with doing a group shuttle you can rent a boat and arrange your own shuttle from various outfitters such as
Wild Bill's Outfitter Dirst Canoe Rental
Crockett's Buffalo River Canoe Rental
Additional Tips for Paddlers In November the weather can be cool so be prepared for cold water paddling. You will need a change of clothes secured in a dry bag with you in your boat. A warm beverage in a thermos would be nice also, just in case of the unexpected. Emergency Assistance
