Keith's was 14ft. and I was in a 12ft. If I do it again I want to be in a higher volume boat with bulk heads. I did't turn over, but the waves were bigger than I was expecting.

Cat is about 8 miles off the mississippi gulf coast. It is west of Horn island. It is one of the barrier islands.

Thanks. The pictures looked interesting, but I don't think I'd be happy paddling 8 miles from shore. I like to stay pretty close to the shore line.
