HIKE THE LAND BETWEEN THE
LAKES,
NOVEMBER 26-30
Join us on the Tennessee/Kentucky border for a Thanksgiving
2003 weekend of camping, hiking and potluck meals. We will leave Memphis
on Thursday for the Piney Campground, which is east of Paris Landing off of
highway 79. The left turn for the campground is the first road after Kentucky
Lake as you head east. The
campground has heated showers. Campsites are first come - first served. We will
try to get in the Dogwood Loop. Land Between the Lakes is about 200 miles from Memphis
between Kentucky Lake
and Lake Barkley.
The most direct way is to head north on US79 (Summer Avenue), go thru Paris,
Tn and across the bridge over Kentucky
Lake. Also, you could go I40 east
to US45 north bypass in Jackson, Tn,
to US45E and pickup US79 at Milan Tn.
