Check out all the things to do around Bryson City and the Nantahala River located about 1 hour past the Ocoee in the southwest part of North Carolina. You can float a boat or ride a train or do about 50 other things. The BCCC normally had 3-4 trips per year to the Bryson City, North Carolina area and the Nantahala River. Paddling skills not perfect? Just not sure? Check out the Nantahala Outdoor Center using the “Nantahala River” link above. We almost always have someone using a single or double “duckies”, (very heavy duty inflatable kayaks) . The NOC will also outfit you with wetsuits and paddling gear depending on the weather.
